Overview
Thomas Walk is a member of Kirton McConkie’s Religious Organizations, Litigation, and Labor and Employment sections. In nearly 35 years of practice, many trials (and few errors), Mr. Walk has developed an expertise in strategically managing and directing claims and litigation for a major firm client. His litigation experience is extensive, from catastrophic personal injury, class action employment matters, large dollar value trust and estate litigation, real estate, construction defect and design defect cases, environmental contamination cases, patent, copyright and trademark infringement cases, to everything in between. Mr. Walk’s current case load involves complex catastrophic personal injury actions and employment matters while managing the claims and litigation throughout the United States and Canada.
Mr. Walk previously served in firm management as a member of the board of directors and Executive Committee. He also has been recognized as one Utah’s Legal Elite and has been AV rated through Martindale-Hubbell for 28 years.
Experience
- Extensive experience in the international arena, overseeing and supervising the work of local/foreign attorneys and representing a large corporate client in the areas of incorporating United States and foreign legal entities, closing real property, currency exchange, and other financial and commercial transactions.
- Conducts legal audits.
- Handles personal injury defense, medical malpractice defense, breach of contract disputes, employment and labor disputes, and probate disputes.
- Advises clients on labor/employment matters, contract disputes and real estate litigation relating to purchases, sales, construction, boundary disputes, risk management and insurance coverage.
