Kirton McConkie (KM) recently sponsored the 2025 Utah AI Summit where leaders from government, industry, academia, and civil society gathered to advance Utah’s pro-human leadership in artificial intelligence.
The summit emphasized Utah’s role as a national model for responsible, people-centered technological innovation. As a law firm engaged in Utah’s technology ecosystem, KM was eager to support an event focused on ensuring that AI development enhances human capabilities, strengthens communities, and aligns with ethical and practical considerations.
The event featured keynote remarks from Governor Spencer J. Cox, along with fireside discussions with Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince; NVIDIA co-founder Chris A. Malachowsky; and actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Panels and sessions throughout the day explored AI’s impact on the workforce, industry innovation, academic research, and emerging state and national policy.
Attendees also participated in interactive policy discussions, collaborating with experts to examine the opportunities and risks associated with AI adoption and to consider how Utah can continue to lead in establishing thoughtful, human-focused AI guidelines.
KM’s sponsorship reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting responsible innovation and providing guidance to organizations navigating AI’s evolving legal and operational landscape. We value the chance to contribute to initiatives advancing responsible AI leadership in Utah.
