Jacob O. Israelsen
Jake Israelsen is a registered patent attorney whose practice is focused on the legal and strategic questions raised by artificial intelligence. He began his career with a strong foundation in patent prosecution and intellectual property litigation, representing clients in matters involving patents, trade secrets, non-compete disputes, and commercial litigation in federal and state courts, before the International Trade Commission, and in international arbitration. That combination of prosecution and litigation experience gives him a practical perspective on how innovation is protected, contested, and brought to market.
In addition to his IP practice, Jake advises clients on artificial intelligence governance, risk management, and the responsible implementation of AI systems. He assists clients in developing practical frameworks for adopting AI in ways that address legal risk, reflect emerging regulatory expectations, and create lasting business value. His practice reflects a belief the future lies not only in protecting innovation, but in helping clients deploy emerging technologies responsibly.
A Colorado native, Jake enjoys spending as much time as he can in the mountains, camping and hiking with his wife and three children.
