Brooke Porter Coles
Brooke Porter Coles practices in the firm’s Appellate, Litigation, and First Amendment and Religious Organizations sections. Her practice focuses on substantive motion drafting and appellate advocacy. She developed research and writing expertise during two judicial clerkships—one with Justice Diana Hagen of the Utah Supreme Court and another with Judge David N. Mortensen of the Utah Court of Appeals. Brooke graduated with high honors from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law.
Prior to law school, Brooke worked for four years in public relations at both nonprofit and government organizations. This background provided her with valuable skills in strategic communication, problem-solving, and analysis, all of which enhance her effectiveness in advocating for clients.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and traveling.
