Peter Shiozawa
Peter Shiozawa is an experienced IP attorney whose practice bridges technology, law, and business to develop practical, forward-looking solutions to his clients’ technological, legal, and business challenges. His practice focuses on the evolving intersection of AI governance, technology, and IP rights, helping clients navigate rapid changes to the regulatory and technical landscape. He provides strategic client counseling, pragmatic problem solving, and risk management to support responsible, ethical, and effective AI implementation across a wide range of industries.
Prior to joining Kirton McConkie, Mr. Shiozawa served as an in-house IP counsel at an international technology company, where he advised on complex patent, open source, technology, AI governance, contract, litigation, and compliance matters. His legal experience also includes patent searching, drafting, prosecution, and post-grant proceedings for a wide array of technologies in private practice.
Before practicing law, Mr. Shiozawa leveraged his chemical engineering degree as a process engineer at ExxonMobil Chemical Company.
