Jennifer Reinhardt-Tessmer

Jennifer Reinhardt-Tessmer is a member of the firm’s Litigation section, where she represents clients in a wide variety of complex litigation and regulatory matters. She brings over 19 years of trial experience and a dynamic, client-centered approach to every case—whether defending corporate clients, navigating administrative hearings for clients in the energy sector, or advocating on behalf of individuals.

Jennifer’s diverse practice spans commercial litigation, energy law, employment law, and serious personal injury matters. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at a national law firm and served as lead counsel for a major public utility. In that role, she represented the utility in high-stakes litigation and regulatory proceedings and was instrumental in developing the utility’s wildfire mitigation plan. Today, she continues to represent clients in energy-related administrative hearings and regulatory compliance matters, helping them navigate utility tariffs and evolving policy landscapes. She regularly advises clients on energy procurement and infrastructure strategy, including the negotiation and execution of power purchase agreements (PPAs) on both the sell side and buy side of renewable energy projects. Her unique background working inside a utility equips her to guide clients through the regulatory and contractual frameworks governing modern energy markets.

Jennifer also has substantial experience in serious personal injury cases, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. Jennifer is known for her compassionate yet tenacious approach, working closely with clients and their families to achieve justice and secure meaningful compensation. In recent years, Jennifer has also successfully advocated for individuals in disputes with private health insurers, challenging the denial of medically necessary, and often life-saving treatment.

Jennifer has tried cases in Oregon, Idaho, and Utah, and is known for her strategic insights, early case development, and effective advocacy from investigation through trial. Clients value her ability to balance aggressive litigation tactics with practical solutions tailored to their goals.

When she’s not practicing law, Jennifer enjoys being outdoors with her family, especially white-water rafting on Idaho’s rivers.
