Qiwei Chen (陈骐玮)

Qiwei (CHEE-way) Chen is a member of the firm’s Litigation section. She focuses on resolving complex commercial disputes with an international dimension. She represents domestic and international companies in trade secret, intellectual property, employment, and other business litigation, with significant experience representing Chinese manufacturers, pharmaceutical, medical device, and technology companies in U.S. litigation, arbitration, and judgment enforcement proceedings.

A native of Shanghai, China, Ms. Chen is fluent in Mandarin and Shanghainese. Her bicultural background enables her to bridge cultural and communication gaps while providing practical, business-oriented counsel to multinational clients navigating cross-border disputes in the United States.

• Represented leading Chinese pharmaceutical company in federal trade secret litigation involving the international theft of proprietary technology and obtaining summary judgment in its favor.
• Represented a leading Chinese refractory products manufacturer in litigation under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, resulting in a favorable settlement.
• Represented a Chinese manufacturer and e-commerce company in a Lanham Act false advertising dispute, resulting in a favorable settlement.
• Representing an aviation parts supplier in enforcing restrictive covenants and protecting trade secrets and confidential business information against a former executive and his new employer.
• Represented a Chinese manufacturer of baby products in federal intellectual property litigation involving patent validity, trademark ownership, unfair competition, international service of process, and cross-border business disputes.
• Representing a Chinese medical device manufacturer in a cross-border commercial dispute.
• Represented a Chinese trading company in the recognition and enforcement of a CIETAC arbitration award in U.S. federal court under the New York Convention.
