Salaries for associates and summer associates are competitive with those of law firms of similar size in this geographical area. Applicants for employment are advised of current salary ranges during their interviews.

Upon graduation from law school, associates joining the firm receive a competitive annual salary. In addition, the firm pays a signing bonus, which can be used to cover bar review course and exam fees and relocation expenses. Associates are compensated for a reasonable study period for the Bar exam.

The Firm provides other significant benefits for associates and members, including:

  • Term life insurance
  • Family medical and dental benefits
  • Short and long term disability income insurance
  • Free parking
  • Participation in 401(k) Plan*

*After employment for one full year, and at the entry dates of January 1 or July 1, associates are eligible to participate in the firm's 401(k) Plan. Historically, the firm has made an annual contribution on behalf of each participating employee. In addition, upon entry into the Plan, employees may contribute up to certain levels on their own.

Salary increases are determined annually for each associate based upon an evaluation of the associate's work by the Hiring Committee, practice sections, and Compensation Committee. It is the firm's philosophy that each associate's salary will reflect his or her quality of work, degree of responsibility, and overall contribution to the firm.
